  • Character Development: You are committed to guiding students toward becoming independent, critically thinking personalities.
  • Artistic Vision: In addition to teaching the IB Theatre Arts curriculum, you will lead weekly theatre workshops and our "Theatre Service" group, with the goal of staging diverse and exciting performances throughout the academic year.
  • Flexibility in Role: This position is available as part-time or up to full-time when combined with another teaching subject and/or additional boarding school responsibilities.

Education and qualifications

  • Academic Background: You hold a recognized teaching qualification for grades 8–12 and have experience in the IB MYP/Diploma Programme or a comparable international education system.
  • Theatrical Expertise: You have a proven ability to lead theatre workshops and inspire young performers.
  • Language Proficiency: You possess the competence and confidence to teach fluently in English (IB Diploma courses and grades 8–10).
  • Boarding & Mentoring Experience: You have experience in tutoring or mentoring young people, ideally within a boarding school environment.
  • Extracurricular Commitment: You are willing to engage beyond the classroom through excursions, theatre visits, class trips, and evening/weekend duties within the boarding school.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You work effectively with colleagues across all departments (Music, Art, Housekeeping, Caretaking, etc.) to ensure successful school operations and productions.
  • Educational Philosophy: You are open to implementing reform-pedagogical ideas in both school and boarding life.
